12And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.

13But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?

14Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

2Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.

2For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;

3How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;

4God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?

Do Not Neglect Salvation

2Therefore we must give [a]the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away. 2For if the word (E)spoken through angels proved steadfast, and (F)every transgression and disobedience received a just [b]reward, 3(G)how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, (H)which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was (I)confirmed to us by those who heard Him, 4(J)God also bearing witness (K)both with signs and wonders, with various miracles, and (L)gifts[c] of the Holy Spirit, (M)according to His own will?

like a garment they will be changed.
But you remain the same,(A)

13To which of the angels did God ever say,

14Are not all angels ministering spirits(F) sent to serve those who will inherit(G) salvation?(H)

Warning to Pay Attention

2We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away.(I) 2For since the message spoken(J) through angels(K) was binding, and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment,(L) 3how shall we escape if we ignore so great a salvation?(M) This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord,(N) was confirmed to us by those who heard him.(O) 4God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles,(P) and by gifts of the Holy Spirit(Q) distributed according to his will.(R)

It was (K)declared at first by the Lord, and it was (L)attested to us (M)by those who heard, 4(N)while God also bore witness (O)by signs and wonders and various miracles and by (P)gifts of the Holy Spirit (Q)distributed according to his will.
